Project Curator: Full-time (41 hours per week) Fixed term (6 months maternity cover) £To undertake research into, document, and make publicly accessible the Nile valley collections, particularly archaeological collections from Sudan and Nubia, in support of the Museum’s masterplan, the Museum Operating Plan and all relevant Museum strategies. To improve their accessibility via the Museum’s digital online platforms. To lead on researching and upgrading the documentation of the Nile valley archaeological and research collections, particularly the Klemm stone quarries assemblages and Qasr Ibrim collection To make the collection, and knowledge about it, publicly accessible via digital platforms and publication To support storage projects on- and off-site Some experience of working with a relevant collection, museum documentation and museum databases Some experience of management issues (people, projects, budgets) (desirable) Founded in 1753, the British Museum’s remarkable collection spans over two million years of human history and culture.
