Day Rate Contract Management Accountant

Hybrid 3 days in office - Hook

Contract length - 3 Months

My client is seeking a Fully Qualified Accountant to support during a time of expansion for a 3 Month initial contract. The company is a well-known brand, providing the opportunity to gain exposure working in a dynamic, growing, fast-paced environment.

This role is integral to ensuring the production of timely, accurate, and insightful financial information. You will support key finance functions including internal reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation processes, with a strong focus on inventory management, vehicle sales/imports, and balance sheet integrity.

Key aspects of the role:

  • Produce accurate and timely internal financial reports (daily, weekly, and monthly) to inform decision-making across the business.
  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts, variance analysis, and commentary on performance metrics.
  • Prepare and post daily and month-end journal entries in accordance with accounting policies and timelines.
  • Reconcile key accounts and resolve discrepancies to support the month-end close process.
  • Maintain supporting schedules for all journal entries and adjustments.
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager to prepare annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor performance against budget and forecast, providing analysis on variances.

  • Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Support working capital and financial reporting.
  • Must be able to work cross-functionally and communicate with non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong operational and financial knowledge.
  • Ability to pivot and adapt quickly.
