Are you an experienced HSE Manager looking to join a leading manufacturing business based in Heanor, Derbyshire? As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental programs, ensuring compliance, along with promoting a culture of safety and sustainability across the sites. Ideally, you will have experience of working within a chemical manufacturing business previously; however, other backgrounds will be considered. Offering a salary of £65-70K depending on experience.
The Role:
- Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with sustainability goals and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure continued compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems.
- Advise management on compliance requirements regarding applicable UK and EU legislation, ensuring required compliance.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and documentation of findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.

Suitable Candidate:
- Experienced HSE Manager ideally from a chemical manufacturing background - will consider other industries.
- NEBOSH Diploma in occupational safety and health.
- Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management - as a minimum.
- Internal Auditor - ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
