Expleo is seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety Validation Engineer to join our customer in the Warwick area (contract basis). This role is pivotal in ensuring the functional safety verification of battery management controls software.
Responsibilities:
- Derive comprehensive test cases from system requirements, ensuring alignment with verification criteria.
- Author test cases using Gherkin syntax (BDD) and manage them within X-Ray, integrated with JIRA.
- Execute manual test cases on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) Rigs including Dspace, Vector, or NI platforms.
- Document and report test results, creating detailed test reports for each execution cycle.
- Identify and log software defects or issues encountered during testing, ensuring accurate and timely defect tracking.
- Ensure test cases include:
- Clear test purpose and detailed descriptions
- Defined pre-conditions and post-conditions
- Structured test flow or sequence
- Evaluation criteria
- Traceability links to system requirements
Skills Required:
- Strong experience in system testing and test case development based on formal requirements.
- Proficiency in writing BDD test cases using Gherkin syntax.
