Role and Responsibilities:
- Families: Supporting parents at handovers & developing a partnership, maintaining confidentiality, handling feedback, taking part in parents’ evenings & events as required.
- FAMLY App: Logging daily child updates, responding to parent messages as directed by your room leader.
- Children: Support child wellbeing & support upset children, nappy changing & toileting (including toilet cleaning), support independence (dressing, washing hands etc.), ensuring general cleanliness of the children at all times, ensuring environments are kept neat & tidy, assist in maintaining accurate children’s records including their learning journals, support playful learning that has a good level of adult interaction, support independence & social development in play & learning.
- People: To always have up to date safeguarding knowledge (completing additional or repeat training if required), work with your room leader to create a stimulating and engaging environment, work closely with other staff members in your classroom to keep your knowledge of the children & routine up to date, follow daily routines as set by the room leader, follow the code of conduct at all times.
- Operation: Adhere to the safeguarding & health & safety policy & procedures, supervising naps and following our sleep policy, assist in helping to provide an environment where children value & respect different cultures, religion, language & disability, embracing organisational change, understand the importance of deadlines and meet them, to complete compulsory training upon request and within timeframe.
Qualifications / Educational Requirements:
- GCSE’s or equivalent.
- The right to work in the UK and a clear enhanced DBS.
- An ability to safeguard and protect children.
- To be positive, adaptable and friendly.
