Danos have been exclusively mandated on an excellent Head of Legal position at a well established FCA regulated digital assets platform. This is a standalone position, and the successful candidate will act as the principal legal advisor to the business as well as playing a key role in advising the senior leadership team, shaping legal strategy and managing legal risks relevant to the business.
This role presents a fantastic opportunity to act as sole counsel and to be an integral part of shaping the firm's legal and regulatory strategy. Candidates who are immediately available would be very advantageous.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements including SaaS license agreements, vendor contracts and partnership agreements.
- Provide legal advice on product launches, marketing initiatives, and business development activities.
- Advise on regulatory and compliance matters relevant to digital assets, including evolving legal frameworks across key jurisdictions.
- Lead on regulatory strategy to ensure compliance with existing and forthcoming global regulations.
- Establish and maintain internal policies, templates, and processes to ensure scalable legal operations.
- Manage relationships with external counsel and coordinate specialized legal support when needed.
- Stay current with legal developments in the blockchain, cryptocurrency, and fintech industries.
- Support corporate governance, including board support and managing key company documents.
- Assist with employment, IP, and data privacy matters as needed.
- Qualified solicitor with 6+ PQE. Candidates should ideally have in-house experience at a fintech, financial services or tech business.
- Strong background and understanding of commercial and regulatory matters.
- Experience advising or liaising with the FCA or equivalent regulatory body is highly advantageous.
