Battery Electromechanical Design Engineer \\n\\nPeterborough (Site based)\\n\\n12 month assignment \\n\\nWe are currently seeking an experienced Electromechanical Design Engineer to join the Electrification + Energy Solutions Battery Development Team focused on concepting and designing a range of battery pack and EV electrical systems for a variety of applications.\\n\\nThe successful candidate will serve as an experienced contributor on projects and assignments that are complex in nature, working with individuals and teams across multiple business units globally.\\n\\nResponsibilities of the Battery Electromechanical Design Engineer include\\n\\nGather and get agreement on requirements for Electrical harness, BDU, electrical component and hardware design\\nContribute to risks assessments (DFMEAs), and update a risk reduction glidepath (to production)\\n3D CAD design of Electrical System components, assemblies, LV harness and HV Cables\\nBOM Creation for EV electrical components, cabling and wiring\\nConcept development, structured collaborative down-selection through to production release\\nLead the closure of testbed and in-field validation identified issues, communicating status to leadership\\nCommunicate validation information and status to internal and external customers and team members\\nDevelop and maintain a keen understanding of internal and external customers' needs\\nKeep up to date on new battery technologies, manufacturing methods and legislation requirements\\nQualifications & Experience Required of the Battery Electromechanical Design Engineer\\n\\nAccredited bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering subject – i.e. Engineering, Product design, etc.\\n4 or more years of high voltage battery/EV powertrain design experience with good fundamental battery system knowledge\\nDesign using PTC Creo including the packages Cabling, Schematics, Simulate, Engineering Drawing/Detailing\\nConcept development of designs through structured collaborative down-selection to production release\\nExperience with PLM tools\\nExperience of Product development through a structured NPI process\\nExperience on designing within the requirements of compliance standards\\nA passion to grow your design skills within a friendly, interactive and innovative global engineering team\\nExcellent communication skills, in person and remotely\\nSelf-starter with good problem solving and planning skills\\nAbility to react dynamically to changes in priority whilst maintain process discipline\\nCompetitive Hourly Rate – Umbrella OR PAYE\\n\\nTo apply, please submit a copy of your up to date CV clearly indicating your relevant experience.
