RM Recruit are excited to be working in partnership with a not-for-profit organisation based in Coventry who are seeking a Finance Assistant to support the Finance Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract on a term-time only basis. This role is based onsite Monday – Friday with the hours set at (8am – 4pm). Key Responsibilities * Process invoices and purchase orders * Prepare BACS runs * Assist with bank reconciliations and financial reporting * Raise & place purchase orders * Credit card reconciliation * Manage supplier queries * Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers * Assist with month-end and year-end procedures * Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders * Provide administrative support to the finance function as required Person Specification * AAT Qualified or qualified by experience * Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role * Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial procedures * Excellent attention to detail and accuracy * Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel * Well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * A proactive and flexible approach to work * Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Access, Sage & Xero) Benefits * A supportive, inclusive, and purpose-driven work environment * Generous pension scheme * Parking onsite * Opportunities for personal and professional development * The chance to be part of a team making a real impact The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS upon appointment.
