Facilities Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic professional to join the Estates, Facilities & Capital Planning Directorate reporting directly to the Head of Facilities for NHS Highland.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the following departments: Catering, Portering, Security, Domestic and Laundry, supporting the provision of quality patient care across the New Craig’s site.
• Operational, strategic, quality and professional development of all the functions, ensuring effective Soft Facilities Management.
• Achievement of mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and compliance with the Code of Conduct throughout employment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree level or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience within an Acute setting or similar complex organisation.
• Extensive experience within multi‑disciplined Soft Facilities Management, ideally within a Mental Health environment.
• Good working knowledge of Soft Facilities Service budgetary management and awareness of the social and political agenda relating to health care and nutrition standards.
• Computer‑literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and Teams.
• Valid Driving Licence.
• Excellent leadership skills, high level of professionalism, vision and awareness of national policy and direction.
