Are you a qualified and experienced accountant looking to join a dynamic, growing accountancy practice with a strong team ethos and varied client portfolio? We’re working with a well-established and expanding firm with offices in Chichester and across Hampshire, seeking a motivated Accountant to support their busy and collaborative team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a client-facing, supportive practice environment and is keen to develop their career further.
The Role
- Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, LLPs, sole traders and partnerships
- Assist in preparing corporation and personal tax returns using CCH software
- Submit VAT and CIS returns via software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks and Dext
- Produce management accounts and provide insightful commentary
- Support Portfolio Managers with workflows and meet client deadlines
- Mentor junior staff and assist with training where needed
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal procedures
You’ll also be involved in a variety of other duties including P11Ds, ATED submissions, and company secretarial tasks, contributing to the smooth running of a highly professional and friendly team.
About You
- AAT Level 4 qualified, with at least 3 years of experience in an accountancy practice
- Confident in preparing accounts and handling tax compliance for a range of client types
- A strong communicator – both written and verbal – with a proactive, service-driven approach
- Comfortable using multiple accountancy software systems and highly organised
- A team player who can also work independently, thrive under pressure and support others
- Experience in personal tax and familiarity with CCH software would be advantageous.
