Contracts Manager

We are currently working with a well-established small contractor who is looking to appoint a Contracts Manager to oversee a small portfolio of live projects around the St. Albans area.\\n\\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a close-knit business delivering high-quality residential schemes, with real autonomy and the chance to make a visible impact.\\n\\nThe Role\\n\\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for running circa 3 live projects at any one time, with a combined turnover of approximately £2 million. Projects typically include:\\n\\n * High-end residential refurbishments\\n\\n * Extensions and loft conversions\\n\\n * Basement construction\\n\\n * Small new-build and structural works\\n\\nYou will oversee projects from pre-start through to handover, managing site teams, subcontractors, programmes, costs, quality and client relationships.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities\\n\\n * Overall delivery of multiple residential projects\\n\\n * Programme and cost control\\n\\n * Management of Site staff and subcontractors\\n\\n * Client liaison and progress reporting\\n\\n * Ensuring H&S, quality and compliance standards are met\\n\\n * Supporting procurement and commercial control\\n\\nCandidate Profile\\n\\n * Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, or Senior Site Manager within residential construction\\n\\n * Background in refurbishments, extensions, lofts or basements is highly desirable\\n\\n * Strong organisational and communication skills\\n\\n * Hands-on, commercially aware and proactive\\n\\nAspiring Site Managers who are ready to step up into a Contracts Manager role will also be considered, provided they have run multiple residential projects and are keen to progress.\\n\\nIf you’re looking for a role where you won’t be lost in a corporate structure and want real responsibility and progression, this could be an excellent next step
