Our client has a strong reputation for delivering bespoke electrical solutions across data centres, healthcare, government, and commercial sectors, working on high-profile projects. Due to continued growth and expansion, we require an experienced Commissioning Manager to join their expanding team in London to lead the commissioning and maintenance of switchgear and power distribution systems.

What's involved for the Commissioning Manager:

  • Lead the commissioning process for switchgear systems.
  • Manage projects efficiently to optimize company profitability.
  • Oversee the performance and coordination of subcontractors.
  • Identify and eliminate defects, unsafe behaviours, hazardous conditions, and environmental risks.
  • Maintain awareness and adherence to quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) standards.
  • Participate in commissioning meetings as required.
  • Prepare and communicate Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Ensure effective and accurate implementation of Permit to Work systems.
  • Compile, verify, and sign off on testing and commissioning documentation.
  • Ensure all work equipment is operated safely and maintained in proper condition.
  • Report any near misses or workplace incidents.
  • Minimize unnecessary site revisits.
  • Communicate and coordinate with clients effectively.
  • Submit weekly progress reports to management.

What you'll need:

  • NVQ L3 in Electrical Discipline or similar (IDEAL).
  • SSSTS.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Valid Passport.
  • Experience in LV Switchgear.
  • Commissioning experience is a MUST.
