An innovative, enthusiastic and inspirational class teacher is required to work with students within our specialist deafblind provision, The Alba Centre. The teacher will have responsibility for a class of students and will be expected to provide a holistic education ensuring that the needs of each individual pupil are met. This will involve ongoing and close liaison with parents/carers, colleagues, therapists and other professionals.

The teacher will be expected to:

  • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
  • Promote good progress and outcomes
  • Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
  • Make accurate and productive use of assessment
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
  • Fulfil wider professional responsibilities as required

Please Note: Candidates are not required to possess a QTVI, QToD or QTMSI qualification on appointment. However, Teachers at Linden Lodge School are required to undertake the Mandatory Qualification if they do not already possess this.
