We are on the lookout for a reliable and experienced Chef to join the kitchen team at our town centre venue, one of Inverness's most iconic pubs known for its buzzing atmosphere, hearty traditional food, and live Scottish music. As one of our Chefs, you'll play a vital role in delivering our well-loved pub classics to a high standard. Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll help lead day-to-day kitchen operations and often take the reins during shifts, including some lone working, especially in daytime or quieter periods. From prep and service to hygiene and communication with front-of-house, you'll be hands-on and involved in every part of a smooth-running kitchen. This role may also occasionally involve providing cover at other kitchens within our growing group of Inverness venues offering variety, flexibility, and the chance to build experience across different teams and menus.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Preparing and cooking our traditional pub menu to a high standard
- Running the kitchen during shifts, including lone working when required
- Supporting with stock control, prep, ordering and daily organisation
- Maintaining top food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Communicating clearly with front-of-house for smooth, timely service
- Assisting in training and supporting junior kitchen staff
- Providing occasional support at other kitchens across our venues when needed
