We’re looking for a talented Technical Writer to craft clear, engaging, and intuitive documentation for our developer community. If you’re a storyteller at heart with a knack for translating complex technical concepts into accessible and inspiring content, we’d love to meet you. Role Overview : As our Technical Writer, you will develop high-quality, developer-focused content to support our API products. This role requires a deep understanding of technical concepts, a mastery of language, and a passion for making the complex simple. You’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining API documentation that is easy to understand, encourages experimentation, and enables developers to unlock the full potential of our platform. Key Responsibilities : Content Creation : Write, edit, and maintain comprehensive API documentation, developer guides, and tutorials. Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging language, using storytelling techniques to enhance readability and user engagement. Create sample code snippets, diagrams, and other supporting materials to help developers implement our APIs. Collaboration with Engineering Teams : Work closely with engineers, product managers, and developers to understand our APIs, identify key use cases, and clarify technical concepts. Participate in product demos and code walkthroughs to capture the full technical depth required to deliver high-quality documentation. Content Strategy and Structure : Develop and maintain an organized, scalable content structure that supports easy navigation and quick reference for developers. Design and refine a cohesive voice and tone for documentation, ensuring a consistent and engaging style that resonates with our technical audience. Collaborate with product and design teams to enhance documentation with UI/UX elements that improve readability and engagement. Continuous Improvement : Monitor feedback channels, usage analytics, and industry trends to identify areas for improvement in documentation. Regularly update and expand documentation as our APIs evolve, incorporating user feedback to enhance clarity and usability. Stay current with best practices in API documentation and technical writing, continually raising the bar for our content quality. Qualifications : Experience : 5+ years as a technical writer, preferably within the software, B2B, or fintech sectors. Experience in creating API documentation is essential. Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with APIs, JSON, REST, and other web services; ability to read code (in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Ruby) and understand technical workflows. Writing Skills : Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a proven ability to translate technical content into easy-to-read, accessible documentation. A storytelling approach to technical writing is strongly preferred. Tools : Proficiency in documentation tools such as Markdown, Git, Swagger, or Postman. Knowledge of developer tools, version control systems, and experience with API testing tools is a plus. Communication : Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, gather information, and build relationships. Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy, organization, and consistency in writing and presentation of information.
