Job Title : Boys Academy and Regional Performance Coach Reports to : Boys Academy Lead Contract : Permanent FullTime Hours : Min 40 hours per week to include evenings weekends and bank holidays when required Salary :per annum Location : The Cooper Associates County Ground Taunton Exeter University & Other Venues Closing date : 30 th October 2024 The Role Do you have proven experience coaching within a talent pathway environment especially with adolescent male players Are you approachable empathetic and reflective with the ability to positively influence a variety of stakeholders Do you have strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with players and staff across different levels of the game If the answer is yes to these questions we would love to hear from you. An exciting opportunity has arisen at Somerset County Cricket Club to join our Pathway Cricket department. We are looking to recruit a Boys Academy and Regional Performance Coach. You will play a crucial part in delivering SCCCs Emerging Players Programme (EPP) and Academy with a focus on developing highpotential male cricketers. Youll contribute heavily to the University of Exeter Mens cricket programme where you will provide highquality coaching to topperforming players. You will be instrumental in identifying inspiring and nurturing talent from Somerset County Age Groups (CAG) and across the wider region. Amongst other essential criteria youll have an ECB Level 2 Coaching qualification and proven experience coaching within a talent pathway environment especially with adolescent male players. You will also have a strong ability to facilitate high quality practices for aspiring cricketers and an awareness of best practices within player identification and development. To thrive in this role youll be approachable reflective and empathetic with the ability to positively influence a variety of stakeholders. You will have excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working. Youll maintain high professional standards and have a drive for excellence in everything you do. Given the nature of the role any appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check. If no ECB DBS is already in place this check will be carried out by the Club. You will need to be eligible to work in the UK and hold a full UK driving licence. In return youll be joining a team who values everyones contribution.
