Job Description

Due to growth a new and exciting position is available for a Specialist Services – Airfreight Operations professional. Our client are part of a UK privately owned group handling more than 4.75 million consignments yearly and boasting a live customer base of 1500 per week.

Responsibilities for the Specialist Services – Airfreight Operations

With AI companies opening in data centres across the globe we are at the very early stages of an emerging vertical. Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be working closely in an already established solid partnership with our compliance partner who is focused in the AI sector and a global leader in their broader ?eld.

Reporting to the General Manager, the role is managing the cross trade shipments (e.g. Korea to Finland) working with the overseas agents across multiple time zones to ensure the shipments are collected on time, delivered on time, and that the SOP is adhered to.

  • The basic functions include booking in jobs to the FMS (Current system MultiFreight), loading accruals, invoicing, updating the job tracking sheets, co- ordinating the deployment of, and working with the white glove team along with prompt answering of customer emails, providing POD’s.
  • The position involves working with the team and client to discuss needs, necessity of operations and Anticipating in advance where we will need the people on the ground in country and keeping the clients updated with the relevant information.
  • The successful candidate will have an excellent eye for detail along with an existing understanding of freight forwarding (Airfreight biased) together with good admin skills plus the ability to work not only in a team but also alone in providing the very best service
  • Solutions oriented, commercially astute person to work within the AI division.

Employment Terms

  • Monday Friday 08h00-16h30 or 09h00-17h30, although some ?exibility in working hours will be considered for the right
  • Salary is DOE £30-40k and there is flexibility in the employment terms for the successful candidate.

Company Overview

Our client was established in 2010 operating out of Fareham where the company focused on the franchise which is a portal acting as a reseller for integrators such as UPS/DHL/ Fedex, etc. The business proved to be very successful, and the company created ?nancial stability which was solidi?ed with the purchase of a relatively new building from where it operates out of in Hampshire for this revenue stream.

In February 2024 the company changed its name to re?ect the new direction in which the company was heading, opening offices at Heathrow and Southampton.

Due to the length of time the company has been trading along with its strong ?nancial position it quickly and effortlessly obtained IATA accreditation with CASS accounts for Exports and Imports along with Customs badges at Heathrow, Southampton, Felixstowe and London Gateway.

Additionally, the company obtained WCA Membership in order to capitalise on existing personal relationships.

The business handles general cargo but is carving out a new vertical in the Tech space focused on AI, where the product can be regarded as a fusion of AOG, e- Commerce and Fine Art in terms of service offering.
