Job Responsibilities
- Follow guidance and training from other members of the Maintenance Team.
- Train to become competent in issuing permits to work as trained to do so by Maintenance Supervisor.
- Ensure site grounds are kept up to an acceptable standard.
- Manage CMMS system and ensure minimal production downtime.
- Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance in all disciplines on plant equipment.
- Assist with close-out of process safety actions.
- Assist with planning and management of CAPEX Projects, including supervision of contractors.
- Train to become competent in mechanical & electrical isolation on equipment to enable a safe system of work.
- Installation and commissioning of new plant equipment including PLC and control automation systems.
- PLC and SCADA knowledge within industrial environments.
- Manage flowmeter and scale calibrations to ensure quality compliance.
- Originate risk assessments and safe working procedures.
- Diagnose faults and perform electrical, mechanical and instrument repairs to faulty or damaged plant equipment.
- Control stock levels of spares in stores.
- Investigate and provide resolution to plant issues, in the most appropriate, cost effective and efficient manner.
- Participate in the continuation of 5s and LEAN implementation on site.
- Train to become competent to drive FLT’s when required for maintenance involved work.
Qualifications
- Apprentice trained and educated to HNC standard or higher in appropriate Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation fields.
- Knowledge of Statutory regulations (PSSR, LOLER, PUWER).
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within and outside the company.
- Be self-motivated and work without supervision.
- Flexible approach to problem solving and working arrangements.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Computer literate with MS Office etc.
