A major FMCG Food manufacturer is currently recruiting for a Development Technologist / NPD Technologist to join the business with immediate effect. This Development Technologist / NPD Technologist will be on an interim / contract basis for a minimum of 6 months which could be extended. The role will be site based. This role will require someone living within a 40 mile radius of site and with a minimum of 2-3 years experience working as a Development Technologist / NPD Technologist within a UK Manufacturer.

Development Technologist / NPD Technologist responsibilities include:

  • Maintain the Innovation processes and documentation for both brand and non-brand. Lead some and support all projects.
  • Be aware of trends from insight and competitors and be commercially aware around influences in market.
  • Carry out concept development for both EPD and true NPD projects.
  • Maintain customer relationships and site visits as required.
  • Work closely with the costing process.
  • Follow the Product Development procedure and remain compliant with both BRC and Customer specific policies at all times.
  • Work closely with Technical around allergens/HACCP.
  • Provide troubleshooting support to the Operations CV application.
