Banksman

Are you an experienced and safety-conscious banksman looking for a contract opportunity in the Hessle area? We have an upcoming requirement for a skilled individual to join a busy new build housing site, with a start date in June. About the Role: As a banksman, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe movement of vehicles and plant machinery around the construction site. Your key duties will include: Directing and guiding vehicle and plant movements safely and efficiently. Ensuring that all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with safety regulations. Maintaining clear communication with drivers and site personnel. Identifying and mitigating potential hazards related to vehicle and plant movement. Adhering strictly to site health and safety procedures at all times. Assisting with general site duties when required.Skills / Experience: Proven experience working as a Banksman on construction sites, ideally within the new build housing sector. A valid and recognised Banksman/Traffic Marshall ticket. A strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to vehicle and plant movement. Excellent communication and signalling skills. Ability to remain alert and focused in a busy environment. A responsible and safety-conscious attitude.
