My client, a privately owned developer who is growing extensively in 2025, is looking to appoint an Assistant Site Manager for a scheme based in Ely, Cambridgeshire. The scheme will consist of all traditional new build units of 2-5-bedroom high spec homes.
This is an ideal role for an experienced Assistant Site Manager looking to move away from a high-volume developer and work on high spec schemes.
Duties:- Supporting the day-to-day running of the scheme
- Providing clear direction to the on-site construction team regarding responsibilities and targets
- Managing the day-to-day operation from piling to completion, including critical paths for labour, materials, and plant
- Ensuring the development is completed in accordance with specification and the build programme
- Providing accurate and regular reports on progress and dates
- Ensuring the development passes internal and external inspection processes
- Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are followed and adhered to
- Taking responsibility for self-development and the development of others
- Monitoring and controlling the quality of production and approving stage completions for payments to subcontractors
- Ensuring customer service always remains of the highest priority with everyone on site
- Experience of working on traditional build schemes
- An ASM working as part of a full production team
- Experience of being part of a NHBC/LABC
