Field Engineer

Do you have an interest in IT? I am looking for a Field Engineer to join a highly successful computer recycling company based in Kidderminster. Hours: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours) Salary: £24,000 – £27,000 DOE Duration: This is a fixed term contract for 12 month with potential to become a permanent member of staff About the role: You will be providing a professional IT Service to the companies clients. This isn’t a desk role, this is an out and about role, going to different companies carrying out IT installation, office moves, data destruction and more. The clients are all around the UK and you will be required to stop away when required. Responsibilities: Installation and maintenance: Setting up, testing, and maintaining equipment to prevent malfunctions Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently Compliance and documentation: Ensuring adherence to industry standards, environmental laws, and safety regulations while maintaining detailed records IT Installations: Desk setups including Cable Management / Testing / App Downloads and testing Office Moves: De Comm of Furniture and IT and process for safe transport. Re Build and installation of Furniture and IT including Cable Management and Testing Tech Bar: Setup and running of a Tech Bar at customer site including basic assistance / scheduling / IT exchange MPS: Manage Print Services including Configuration and safe installation at customer site Data Destruction: Stripping down assets to component level. Asset Management. Destruction of Data Baring components. Shredder operation Collections: Safe removing redundant assets from customer site Support and Communication: Effective communication with project and line manager with onsite progression. Escalate issues or concerns. Ensure good customer satisfaction is deliveredPerson Specification: Must have valid UK Driving licence Able to lift and move furniture, computers and accessories Stopping away is required Be proactive and able to communicate exceptionally Smart appearance as this is a customer facing role Must live in the Kidderminster or close surrounding area
