Job Title:Plumbing Tutor (Trainee or Qualified opportunity)

Location:York – Centre based

Salary:up to £34,700 (Depending on skills and experience)

Type:Full Time, Permanent

Essential Criteria:

• Experience of delivering on-the-job training to colleagues is highly desirable.
• Must hold a Level 3 or above in Plumbing.
• Hold or willingness to work towards teaching qualification PTLLS/AET and/or Assessors Award – fully funded and supported by employer
• Confident and comfortable to deliver theory and practical based sessions to learners.
• Must hold solid occupational competency within Plumbing.
• Must be IT Literate.

Duties include:

• Teach/assess learners working towards a Level 3 qualification in Plumbing.
• Embedding of Maths, English and Digital Literacy.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners’ skills knowledge and behaviours
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

Personal Skills:

• Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people
• Quality driven and prepared to go the extra mile for your learners
