Exciting Opportunity for a Marine Engineer in Lowestoft! Are you a skilled engineer with a passion for marine mechanics? Our client, a leading marine services provider, is expanding its operations and is seeking an experienced Marine Engineer to join their team in Lowestoft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficient Repairs: Perform timely and safe repairs on vessels onboard and within the workshop.
- High Standards: Ensure all duties are executed to the highest standards, maintaining the integrity and reliability of the fleet.
- Maintenance Records: Keep the Planned Maintenance records up to date as per company approvals.
- Out-of-Hours Support: Offer critical support outside regular working hours when necessary.
- QHSE Policies: Actively promote and adhere to the company's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Engineering Background: A solid foundation in marine or general engineering, with knowledge of light vehicles, motorcycles, or HGV mechanics.
- Engine Knowledge: Proficiency in handling petrol 2/4 stroke engines or diesel engines.
- Electrics and Marine Knowledge: Familiarity with 12-volt electrics and the marine industry is a plus.
LOCATION: Lowestoft (travel within the UK required)
PAY: Base Salary £33,969 per annum. Regular Overtime and Off-Site working benefits. Expected annual earnings in excess of £40,000 per annum.
HOURS: 39 standard hours per week; Mon-Thurs 7:30am-4:00pm (30 min lunch), Fri 7:30am-3:00pm (30 min).
TERM: Permanent
