Join a leading company in the development, manufacture, and supply of maritime navigation and surveillance radar systems as a Configuration Controller. This role is ideal for someone with a technical background, an understanding of engineering part structures, and a hands-on approach to managing technical data within an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Administer the daily release and change control of technical data within the business ERP system, coordinating the authorisation process.
- Manage the end-to-end change and deviation request process.
- Act as a technical focal point for ERP controlled documents and parts.
- Develop and maintain Configuration Management processes, procedures, and daily ERP configuration control.
- Create and maintain ERP document basic data and maximize configuration functionality within the ERP system for improved efficiencies.
- Establish methods to cleanse legacy part and document data within the ERP system.
- Produce Configuration plans and submissions in support of new contract proposals and project lifecycle.
- Attend software release meetings, maintain ERP version control, and participate in design review and release meetings.
- Maintain Hellios JOSCAR membership and documents relating to ongoing certification to ISO and TUV SUD Marine Equipment Directive (MED) Module D.
- Take a key role in the implementation of ERP system improvements, phased testing, and upgrade projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in configuration management, preferably in a large company undertaking MoD / Defense type contracts.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as IFS Cloud Applications 11, SAP 4 HANA, etc.
- Project management skills and fluent English (both verbal and written).
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of IFS Cloud Applications 11 and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System would be beneficial.
- Auditor experience in ISO 9001:2015 is also advantageous.
