Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Location: Luton Rate: £110 – £130 per day (dependent on experience) Start Date: September 2025 Hours: Term time only Are you a qualified HLTA ready to take on a new challenge this September? A forward-thinking Primary School in Luton is seeking a confident, proactive Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team and play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HLTA who is passionate about education, confident leading groups, and skilled at working with pupils with a range of needs, including SEN. Why this role? * Step into a valued and active role within the classroom * Support and lead learning activities across KS1 and KS2 * Be part of a dedicated and supportive school community * Develop your practice and take on real responsibility Key Responsibilities: * Lead planned lessons in the absence of a teacher * Provide targeted support to pupils both in groups and 1:1 * Collaborate with teaching staff to support planning and assessment * Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment * Support pupils with a range of SEN needs using effective behaviour strategies What we\’re looking for: * HLTA qualification is essential * Strong experience working within UK primary schools * Excellent behaviour management skills and a calm, confident manner * A solid understanding of SEN and how to adapt learning accordingly * Passion for education and pupil progress If you\’re an experienced HLTA looking for a new opportunity to grow and make a difference, this is the role for you!
