About the Role: Are you a passionate Cook or Chef looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference? We are seeking experienced cooks and chefs to work in a well-established care home in Beeston on an ongoing agency basis. You’ll play a vital role in delivering nutritious, high-quality meals to residents, ensuring their dietary needs and preferences are met with care and attention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals for residents, catering to a variety of dietary requirements and preferences.
- Plan menus in collaboration with care staff, taking into account individual dietary needs and special requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in line with food safety standards.
- Manage stock, ordering ingredients as needed, and reducing food waste.
- Work closely with the care team to ensure residents have a positive dining experience.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and care home policies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cook or chef, ideally in a care home or similar setting.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety regulations.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
