Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious On-Site Machinist to join our team on a nuclear construction site. This role involves executing precision machining operations using portable tools directly on-site, supporting construction and installation of critical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a proven track record in regulated environments, and a proactive attitude toward safety, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate portable machine tools for on-site machining tasks (e.g., flange facing, line boring, milling, drilling).
  • Interpret engineering drawings and technical work packages in accordance with nuclear standards (e.g., ASME, RCC-M).
  • Perform precision machining to tight tolerances, supporting pipework, flange, and component installation.
  • Conduct pre-use inspections, maintain tool calibration records, and manage equipment safety.
  • Work closely with supervisors, QA/QC inspectors, welders, and other trades to integrate machining into broader site workflows.
