We are looking for a fantastic Support Worker (PMLD) to work at one of our thriving Secondary Schools in East London. This exciting new role will allow you to support a range of students suffering from extensive learning difficulties e.g. Non-Verbal. The role will require you to help students with their vocational studies and their progression to further education. There is personal care involved and you will need to know handling and hoisting techniques for this position.

About the school:

This is a reputable Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) school, with really good resources to help the children learn. The staff are extremely friendly and approachable and are looking for another person to join their incredible team. These guys are experienced professionals inside their field, so the staff are more than willing to help you.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A strong understanding of children with PMLD.
  • Contributing to support plans and strategies to meet the needs of each student.
  • To be patient when working with the children.

Benefits/Schedule:

Standard Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN ideally PMLD.
  • An Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
