An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Accountant to join a forward-thinking and growing business based in Halifax. This newly created role offers the chance to make a real impact by turning financial data into actionable insight and supporting decision-making across the organisation. The Commercial Accountant will work closely with both the finance team and wider business, providing accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis. This role requires more than just technical expertise β€” it calls for a curious, analytical mind and the ability to clearly communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Preparation of monthly management accounts and associated reporting. Detailed financial analysis, identifying trends and key performance drivers. Support in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. Partnering with commercial and operational teams to understand performance and support decision-making. Developing and refining reporting tools and dashboards to improve data visibility. Delivering time-critical information in a fast-paced environment. The Ideal Candidate: A part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE with relevant commercial experience. Strong analytical skills with a passion for understanding data and translating it into meaningful insight. Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Highly organised and comfortable working to tight deadlines without compromising accuracy. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools.
