As Corporate Tax Senior / Manager, you’ll be a key figure within the tax team, reporting to a dynamic and commercially-minded Tax Director. You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate clients, reviewing complex computations, and offering first-line technical guidance. While the role is largely compliance-focused, there’s ample scope for ad-hoc advisory work, team development, and building stronger client relationships across the board.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a varied corporate tax compliance portfolio end to end.
- Review CT computations and ensure high-quality, timely submissions.
- Liaise confidently with HMRC and resolve technical queries.
- Work closely with audit and accounts teams to deliver seamless service.
- Support the development of junior staff, sharing technical knowledge.
- Get involved with introductory client calls and initial scoping discussions.
- ATT-qualified (or equivalent), with a view to or currently undertaking CTA; CTA-qualified candidates will stand out.
- A minimum of two years' recent experience in UK corporate tax compliance within a professional services environment.
- Strong working knowledge of corporate tax legislation and deadlines.
- Great communication, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle priorities.
- IRIS (or similar software) experience.
- Exposure to SME and mid-sized corporate clients.
- Confidence in mentoring or supporting junior team members.
The role is based in Birmingham with flexible working available depending on the needs of the business. The environment is office-first, but with hybrid options once established.
