Security Officer Youth Residential Facility Location: Kent, CT14

Pay Rate: £12.60 per hour

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (Average of 42 hours per week, Days & Nights)

Shift time - 07:00 -19:00 or 19:00 -07:00

My client is seeking dedicated and professional Security Officers to help safeguard a youth residential facility. This vital role ensures a safe, secure, and supportive environment for minors, while working collaboratively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and security of minors within the facility.
  • Monitor access control systems and verify visitor identification.
  • Conduct routine patrols to maintain a secure environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with on-site staff and external professionals (e.g., Social Services, Councillors).
  • Respond swiftly to emergencies, acting as Fire Marshal where required, and liaising with emergency services.
  • De-escalate conflicts calmly and professionally.
  • Maintain accurate, timely incident reports and security logs.

Requirements

  • SIA Licence Essential
  • Enhanced DBS Desirable (will be processed and paid for if successful)
  • Basic understanding of safeguarding Desirable (training provided)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Confident, calm, and professional approach to conflict resolution
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
