Job Title: Estimator Reporting To: Senior Estimator Location: Office-based, Eccles Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm Friday: Early Finish Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (depending on experience) Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time About the Company The client is a specialist contractor in flat roofing systems. They deliver both planned and reactive maintenance services for commercial, industrial, and public sector clients. With a strong pipeline of secured work and a solid financial footing, the company is looking to strengthen its commercial team with an experienced Estimator. Role Overview The Estimator will work closely with the Senior Estimator to prepare competitive and accurate costings for a range of roofing and maintenance projects. This role is office-based in Eccles and will involve regular use of estimating software and Excel to compile and submit detailed pricing proposals. Key Responsibilities: Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities Prepare detailed cost estimates for flat roofing and maintenance projects Input and manipulate data in estimating software and spreadsheets Liaise with suppliers for material and subcontractor pricing Support in the preparation of tender submissions and commercial reporting Attend internal pricing review meetings with the Senior Estimator Maintain accurate records of pricing history and cost databases Candidate Requirements: Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in an estimating role, ideally within roofing or general construction Confident interpreting construction drawings and specifications Proficient with estimating software (e.g., ConQuest, Causeway, or similar) Strong Excel skills – including formulas and spreadsheet modelling Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy Strong organisational and time management skills Comfortable working in a small commercial team environment Additional Notes: Parking is available on site Company has strong client retention and low staff turnover This role is a growth hire to support increasing workload
