Freelance Site Supervisor – Storage Unit Project (Dundee)

Project Overview: We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Supervisor to oversee a refurbishment project for a storage unit in Dundee. The works include roofing refurbishments (gutter replacement and roof painting), and general site coordination. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily site operations and supervising subcontractors to ensure the project runs safely, efficiently, and on programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day site activities and subcontractor performance
- Coordinate roofing works including painting and new gutter installations
- Ensure all works are carried out to specification and within programme
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised site in compliance with H&S standards
- Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks as needed
- Liaise with the project manager and subcontractors to manage timelines and address site issues
- Monitor and report progress, risks, and quality of work
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor on similar commercial/light industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of roofing works and construction site coordination
- SMSTS or SSSTS (essential)
- First Aid at Work (preferred)
- Ability to manage subcontractors and enforce H&S compliance
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Freelance/limited company or CIS registered
