We’re looking for a bright, technical individual looking to pursue a career in civil engineering focusing on the design elements and technical modelling. The business is a contractor in the civil engineering industry building some of the South Coast’s most exciting and complex projects, such as coastal walls, natural habitats, river walls and water works. The role is an entry level position and will require someone with good communication skills to liaise with different projects across the business and externally with clients and designers to gather information and input into a single model system. The role will suit someone with a passion for STEM and the attitude to learn and progress their career.
Key Duties:
- Communicate and coordinate with engineers, surveyors, project stakeholders to collect information.
- Input information to create 3D models / 2D Drawings and schedules.
- Learn new software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
- Visit construction projects to gain an understanding of what and how things are built.
- Work with clients to help them understand the benefits of BIM and develop a BIM Strategy.
