The Warehouse Administrator is an important role within the busy Warehouse and Logistics site of a Distributor and is responsible for the smooth running of the Administration function of the Department.
- Respond to enquiries from Sales Department on delivery cost and courier requests.
- Work closely with the warehouse manager and stock controller regarding workload and priorities, stock enquiries and all system-based queries.
- Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure effective teamwork and communication.
- Check, and allocate all dispatch orders to pickers.
- Maintain courier delivery cost log sheet.
- Obtain quotations from dedicated couriers and obtain Proof of Deliveries for all deliveries planned.
- Customer service management. Liaise with internal and external customers to deliver highest levels of customer service on an ongoing basis.
- Liaise with, and assist, sales and customer services on dispatch/courier problems.
- Liaise with Sales, Credit, Sales Administration, Purchasing and other relevant stakeholders to ensure timely release of orders to meet the Company's Courier dispatch time requirements.
- Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Filing of Goods in and Dispatch paperwork.
- Main point of contact for incoming phone calls.
- Managing the consumable and packaging ordering via Purchasing, maintaining a log of current consumable stock holding.
- Coordination of any site visitors in regards to health and safety (fire awareness, high visibility, correct shoes and security sign in).
- Work safely with consideration of the safety of others, reporting hazards to Manager. Coordination of any site maintenance requirements.
- Assist in the warehouse as and when required.
- Any other duties that may from time to time be required by the management of the company.
Qualifications:
- IT literate with knowledge surrounding MS Office.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate internally and externally.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Excellent problem solving, analytical and organisational skills.
- Previous admin/stock control experience.
- Able to work to tight deadlines and manage your own time effectively.
- Import and Export knowledge.
