If you enjoy working with young learners and helping them stay focused in class, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
As a Cover Supervisor, your role will be to ensure smooth lessons and support students when their usual teacher is absent. You will be the guiding hand that keeps students on track, ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Manage: Ensure students remain focused and on task during lessons in the teacher's absence.
- Follow Lesson Plans: Deliver pre-arranged lessons across various subjects.
- Motivate Students: Keep students engaged, excited, and eager to learn throughout the day.
- Maintain Classroom Order: Create a respectful and positive learning environment for all students.
- Provide Feedback: Offer updates to teachers on student progress and classroom behaviour.
Requirements:
- Comfortable managing a classroom full of students.
- Passion for helping young people learn and succeed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with students.
- Previous experience with young learners is helpful but not required.
- A relevant qualification or degree is a bonus, but not essential.
- Confidence in delivering pre-planned lessons and adapting to different subjects.
- A full CV that covers the last 10 years (or your entire work history) with any gaps explained.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply).
