Trainee Site Engineer

Job Title: Trainee Site Engineer Location: Central Gloucestershire Hours: Full time Salary: Up to £30,000 starting salary (circa £40,000+ once fully trained and qualified) A specialist consultancy based in central Gloucestershire is looking to expand its team with the addition of a Graduate Engineer. Working in a niche sector supporting environmental compliance, the role offers full training and a long-term career path within a growing industry. This is a hands-on, field-based role that involves travel throughout England and Wales. Key Responsibilities of a Trainee Consultant Engineer: * Visiting client sites to carry out testing, inspections and surveys * Working outdoors in all conditions and occasionally in confined spaces * Gathering accurate data and compiling technical reports * Liaising with clients and representing the business in a professional manner * Providing support and training to clients as required Key Skills of a Trainee Consultant Engineer: * Strong mathematical ability (A Level or equivalent) * Graduate in a relevant discipline (Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred) * Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail * Comfortable working away from home regularly * Full UK driving licence * Strong IT skills, especially Excel Desirable (not essential): * CAD knowledge * Programming interest or experience * Basic electrical knowledge Benefits: 28 days holiday (increasing with service) Generous bonus scheme (after qualification) Enhanced pension scheme All accommodation covered when working away Full training provided to achieve MCERTS certification
