Assistant Quantity Surveyor Newark, Full Time, Permanent £28,000 to £35,000DOE Future Prospects Group are delighted to be working with our client from within the construction industry who are actively recruiting for a Assistant Quantity Surveyor on a full-time, permanent basis to join their team. Working under the direction of the Department Director, with mentoring from the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will integrate fully with the existing Quantity Surveying team to support and protect the commercial interests of our client. THE ROLE Your responsibilities as a Assistant Quantity Surveyor will include: * Assist with contract set up/summary sheets * Ensure robust commercial handovers with the operations team * Place any Sub-Contract Orders in a timely manner * Assist in the submission of valuations in accordance with contractual submission dates * Liaise with Accounts regarding cash receipts and maintain the \’Operations\’ database and \’Disputes\’ register THE CANDIDATE The ideal Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience: * BSc in Quantity Surveying (Ideally 2:2 or above) or BSc in Commercial Management (Ideally 2:2 or above) * Full UK Driving licence * Understanding of health and safety * Friendly, approachable, and professional * High level of accuracy and attention to detail * Organised and calm under pressure * Proactive, positive, and flexible THE BENEFITS The fantastic benefits included with this role are: * Car allowance of £350 per month * Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 17.00pm, with a 60-minute lunch break * 4 days in office / 1 day working from home * Simplyhealth medical cash plan * Life assurance * Annual Bonus * Pension enhanced contribution * Holidays starting at 26 days plus 8 bank holidays, increasing with service Thank you for your interest in this vacancy and good luck with your application.
