About Great Western Air Ambulance Charity

Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC) is a vital emergency service that provides life-saving care to those in need across the South West of England. Established in 2008, our charity operates a helicopter and rapid response vehicles, ensuring that we can reach patients quickly and efficiently, no matter where they are located.

Our team consists of highly trained paramedics and doctors who specialise in pre-hospital emergency medicine. We work closely with local hospitals and emergency services to deliver the best possible care to patients suffering from critical injuries or illnesses.

At GWAAC, we believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality medical care, regardless of their location. Our mission is to save lives by providing immediate medical assistance and transport to the nearest appropriate hospital.

We rely on the generosity of our supporters and volunteers to fund our operations. As a charity, we are committed to transparency and accountability, ensuring that every donation goes directly towards saving lives.

  • Core Values: Compassion, Excellence, Integrity, and Teamwork.
  • Vision: To be the leading air ambulance service in the UK, recognised for our commitment to patient care and community support.
