We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to support the procurement team within our Drywall and Ceilings division. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and assist with the sourcing and purchasing of materials essential to construction and installation projects across the UK and Ireland.
Responsibilities:
- Procurement Support: Assist in sourcing drywall and ceiling materials, producing cost comparisons, and maintaining accurate records on COINS.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
- Order Coordination: Process and track orders, monitoring delivery schedules and resolving invoice queries.
- Documentation & Reporting: Generate procurement reports, track expenditure, and maintain supplier performance data.
- Cost Control: Assist in preparing budgets and managing costs for materials and services.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards for materials.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role within construction is essential.
