An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pastry Sous Chef to join the team at The Savoy Grill by Gordon Ramsay. The Savoy Grill is an iconic restaurant in the heart of Theatreland with a menu that is inspired by classic British and French dishes of old and includes the theatre and excitement of table side service for a number of dishes.

As Pastry Sous Chef you will assist the Head Pastry Chef & Executive Chef manage the day-to-day operation supervising and developing the brigade. You will ensure the highest standards of food preparation and delivery, as well as effective communication across all sections of the kitchen.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be passionate about delivering high quality, seasonal food
  • The motivation and leadership skill to represent the Gordon Ramsay Brand and its world class hospitality standards
  • Previous experience as a Pastry Chef within a premium high-volume quality restaurant, preferably within fine dining
  • Comprehensive culinary knowledge - Pastry section essential
  • A solid understanding of classic cooking methods and seasonality, as well as an ability to innovate and create when needed
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure delivery of the standards and the highest levels of food quality at all times
  • A strong personality, with confidence and enthusiasm to lead the team alongside the Executive Chef in the day to day running of the kitchen
  • Have substantial previous experience working in a similar role within a fine dining environment
  • Be able to effectively lead, manage, motivate and develop a team while enhancing their skill level
