Baker Recruitment Group are pleased to be working alongside our client based in LS12. Due to continued business growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit a Team Leader to join this busy operation.
Shifts: Monday to Friday 06.15am - 4.15pm, 4.15pm - 02.15am.
Reporting to the Shift Manager, the Team Leader will assume management and operational responsibility for teams of Production Operators. The jobholder will manage team performance to help ensure that department targets are met. This encompasses not only manufacturing targets but also quality assurance and other performance measures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the team adheres to health, safety and environmental protocols including work procedures (SOPs).
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of housekeeping and safe working practices within the production area.
- Provide direction and guidance to production team members.
- Coordinate materials; allocate work; and enable people to work effectively.
- Understand the strengths and weaknesses of team members and use this to develop a training plan.
- Ensure the effective training and development of team members.
- Assist in solving problems and resolving conflicts.
- Adhere to the ISO9001 Quality systems and standards that are in place and be aware of the ISO14001 Environmental Standards.
- Be accountable for product quality produced by the production team.
- Act as a stand-in Shift Manager for holiday and sickness cover.
