The role: Our client, a leading manufacturer of specialised products, is seeking to appoint a GDP Officer to support the Responsible Person in maintaining full compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements. This role is critical in ensuring that time- and temperature-sensitive medicinal products are stored and transported under appropriate conditions. Additionally, the GDP Officer will help safeguard the integrity of the legal supply chain by supporting customer and supplier qualification processes and collaborating closely with the sales and purchasing departments.
Main Duties of the GDP Officer:
- Support the processing of product returns by ensuring all required information is accurately documented.
- Conduct internal and external audits of distributors and supply partners.
- Review and approve transport risk assessments for export shipments worldwide.
- Provide support for the management of CAPAs, deviations, change controls, and complaints using the electronic Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring timely and compliant resolution.
- Writing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
The ideal GDP Officer will have the following skills and abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience using Quality Management Systems.
- Audit experience would be beneficial.
- Degree or equivalent in a biological discipline would be an advantage.
- Background working in a regulated environment.
