Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for a Civils Site Supervisor on behalf of a thriving civil engineering main contractor to work on a large upcoming project in the Immingham area. This growing contractor is building their reputation across the North of England whilst being very established down South & Midlands. They are a key delivery partner for Ports & Marinas UK-wide alongside a host of varied civils schemes across Highways, Infrastructure, Rail etc. The initial project is £25m+ civil engineering package to improve the industrial port, including bulk earthworks, crane beams, concrete hard standings, access roads & car parks. This new project is mobilising soon and represents 18 months of work with further opportunity of regional work from ongoing tenders.
Duties/Responsibilities as Site Supervisor:
- Assisting Site Managers in delivery of works on site
- Working in tandem with another Site Supervisor
- Site setup involvement
- Daily briefings on site
- Toolbox talks
- Directing sub-contractor gangs
- Checking & ordering materials
- Enforcing & monitoring Health and Safety on site
- Plant checks
- Permits
Experience required as Site Supervisor:
- Must have experience as General Foreman / Site Supervisor on civil engineering schemes.
- Ideally have experience supervising & delivering: heavy civils, drainage, concrete works, road construction, ducting etc.
- Must hold: CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aid and full driving license.
Remuneration: A salary of up to £52,000 (dependant upon experience) plus: Company car/van or allowance, fuel expenses, annual leave, healthcare, pension scheme and other benefits.
