The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) provides expert clinical care across a broad spectrum of healthcare needs. Working autonomously or collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, the ANP assesses, diagnoses, treats, and manages patients, offering high-level clinical decision-making and leadership within their area of practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with complex health needs.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with professional guidelines and local policies.
  • Provide patient education and health promotion to support prevention and self-management of chronic conditions.
  • Perform clinical procedures within scope of practice.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and contribute to service development.
  • Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff and students.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with the NMC
  • Master’s degree in Advanced Practice Nursing or equivalent.
  • Independent Prescribing qualification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
