We are seeking a skilled Building Services Engineer to deliver a comprehensive and responsive maintenance service across our site(s). This role requires close collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and clients to ensure a seamless maintenance experience.
You will be responsible for both preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring all tasks are logged, tracked, and completed using the CAFM system to maintain compliance and service levels. The role also requires participation in a 1 week in 3 on call Monday 8am - Monday 7:59am. A validated DBS check is required.
Key Responsibilities- Perform PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive maintenance on plumbing systems within St. Maryβs Wing
- Adapt to the varying demands of maintenance work within a hospital environment
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rota (1 week in every 3 weeks)
- Complete all GFM core training modules to maintain competency and compliance
- City & Guilds Level 2/3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent mechanical competency
- Experience within a comparable role with a strong understanding of preventative and reactive building maintenance
- Familiarity with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ability to meet performance targets
- Experience with Building and Information Management Systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with an analytical and systematic approach
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle stakeholder concerns effectively
- Proactive and passionate about delivering high-quality service
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to work autonomously under pressure
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Full, clean UK driving licence
