EMBS Engineering is working in partnership with a leading global precision manufacturer that supplies complex components to the Aerospace, Defence and Power industries. Due to the recent fast-paced growth of the business, our client is looking for TIG Welders to join their manufacturing department.

What do you get?

  • Stability / Longevity
  • Competitive hourly rate: up to £18 per hour
  • Day shift - 07.00 to 16.00 or 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday, and 07.00 to 12.00 on Fridays, with designated breaks
  • Overtime is available at premium rates

Your responsibilities as a TIG Welder include:

  • Welds sheet metal and machined parts per procedures.
  • Reads data cards/drawings for machine setup.
  • Sets up machines with required tooling/fixturing.
  • Completes welding efficiently to meet output.
  • Skilled in TIG, measuring, and hand tools.

What experience as a TIG Welder do you need?

  • Minimum 3 years experience working on precision engineering components within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Experience working to Aerospace standards
  • Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings with welding symbols/WPS
  • Capable of working with thin gauge materials (0.4mm - 1mm)
  • Worked with small to medium-sized parts (12" - 14")
  • Experienced in performing various welding techniques

Due to the nature of the work & industries supported within this position, candidates may be subject to requiring security clearances, therefore, our client is unable to support visa applications from residents outside of the UK. Only applications meeting this criteria will be considered.
