Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Site Agent / Site Manager on behalf of a growing civil engineering main contractor to deliver Severn Trent Water projects across North Midlands & East Midlands areas.
This £100m+ turnover main contractor are a well-known name in the area with several divisions of their business operating at a competitive level with much larger contractors. They are a key delivery partner for Severn Trent Water and framework holders for Severn Trent for past several years.
With an already-strong workload on the ground & a strong influx of expected work they’re looking to add someone capable to their team. Strong order book for 2025 with Severn Trent & secure position on the framework until 2030. Confidence of all work being local to Nottinghamshire / Derbyshire - very occasional projects around Birmingham & further afield but other staff tend to cover these.
Projects: water treatment works, CSO's (combined sewers overflows), deep drainage, large diameter pipelines, ductile iron, shaft sinking, tanks & structures etc. Project values from £1m to £10m+.
Duties as Site Agent:
- Manage site team and supply chain to deliver projects to quality targets and deadlines.
- Writing & updating RAMS.
- Undertaking daily site paperwork.
- Progress meetings with senior management team & Severn Trent Water.
- Managing site including sub-contractors to ensure quality and H&S standards are delivered.
- Ordering materials & plant.
- Promoting sustainable solutions for projects.
- Provide reports for projects - costs, budgets, progress etc.
Experience Required as Site Agent:
- Must have experience as Site Agent / Site Manager on civil engineering schemes for Severn Trent Water or a similar client.
- Must have experience delivering: WwTW / water treatment, large pipelines, deep drainage, heavy civils, shaft sinking etc.
- Must hold: CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid and full driving license.
- Beneficial: Temporary Works, EUSR Water, Appointed Person etc.
Remuneration:
On offer is a salary of up to £62,000 (dependant on experience) plus car allowance or car, discretionary annual bonus, fuel, annual leave, healthcare, pension scheme and other benefits.
