About the Role: As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a designated student, providing tailored support to help them engage with the curriculum, develop essential skills, and build confidence. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing consistent and individualised support to a named student, following their personalised learning plan.
- Collaborating with the class teacher to adapt learning materials and activities to meet the student's unique learning style and needs.
- Supporting the student's social, emotional, and behavioural development, promoting positive interactions and a supportive learning environment.
- Assisting with the implementation of specific interventions or therapy programmes as directed by the SENCO or other professionals.
- Monitoring and recording the student's progress, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where the student feels valued and supported.
- Assisting with personal care needs, if required, with sensitivity and respect.
- Contributing to the wider school community and working collaboratively with colleagues.
- Adhering to all school policies and procedures, including those related to safeguarding and confidentiality.
About You: We are looking for someone who:
- Has a passion for supporting children and a genuine commitment to their well-being.
- Is patient, empathetic, and understanding, with a positive and encouraging approach.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.

- Has a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is desirable but not essential.
- Has experience working with students with specific needs (e.g., autism, ADHD, learning difficulties) is highly desirable.
